Kids’ Weekend Meal Bag Program

Every week, students at Clark-Shawnee and Park Layne Elementary Schools take home special weekend meal bags filled with breakfast and lunch items. These bags ensure that children have nourishing meals even when school is not in session, helping them return on Monday ready to learn and thrive.

This program is part of Operation Hunger and is powered entirely by caring volunteers. From packing bags to distributing them, dedicated hands work behind the scenes to make sure every child receives the food they need.

The meal bag ministry would not be possible without the generosity of our community. Donations help keep the shelves stocked and the bags filled. Each gift, large or small, makes a difference in a child's life.

We have delivered more than 3,000 meal bags to Park Layne Elementary School since the 2021-22 school year.
